Altek Corporation was founded in 1996. The major institution shareholders include the No. 1 domestic automobile group - Yulon Motor Co., Ltd (2201 TT), the No. 1 direct investment corporation - China Development Financial Holding Corp. (2883 TT), and other venture capitals. At the end of the current fiscal period, Altek's total capital amounts to NT$ 1.422 bn. At present, the company has 360 regular employees on its payroll, whereas the corporate headquarter is situated at Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park. The company extends its R&D network to Los Angeles in the USA, maintains an additional R&D center in Taipei, and has setup manufacturing facility in Shanghai Kunshan in Mainland China since year 2000. Globally, Altek currently maintains a workforce of 1,500 employees.
